Rosewood Cyclists of Note

Juanita Feldhahn, cyclist, competed in the women’s road race at the 2000 Summer Olympics.  She was active in road races from 1997 until 2000, taking part in many races all over the world. Juanita lived at Mt Walker, attended Rosewood State High School and now lives in France where she is still heavily involved in cycling, as are her children.

 

Byron Davies is the next generation of successful cyclists from Rosewood. Byron has been racing since 2019 and that year was in New Zealand to get in some final training at Invercargill’s SIT Zero Fees Velodrome ahead of the 2020 Oceania Track Cycling Championships. Invercargill Times. In 2021 he was racing in Bundaberg. “Byron Davies flew the flag high for Ipswich with his three Elite Men’s A hat-trick of wins, in the 1200m Handicap, 2000m Wheelrace Final, and Keirin Final.” Bundaberg Now

In 2023 he is showing he is champion material.
